This photo makes me shudder. It was taken in 1932 on the 69th floor of a Manhattan skyscraper. It is not photo manipulation; it is real. However, the men were told to perch on the beam as a publicity stunt for the building. Two of the men have been identified as immigrants from Galway, Ireland; the others are unknown.
