Housewares - Innovative Design - Aquarium Coffee Table

This is a neat and innovative design. This is a 25 gallon fish tank in a coffee table. It costs about $1500 U.S. with the shipping. Shipping is expensive - glass breaks easily. Two questions arise: Where are the electrical cords that run the air pump and the filter pump? How do you lift the glass top off to scrape off the algae that grows on the sides of this aquarium? I love innovative designers and their design concepts, but this is just a bit impractical, huh?

Photography - Lewis Hine - 1930's

These are Lewis Hine photographs. They were taken in 1930 or 1931. The first photo below is called "Powerhouse". Very cool male-oriented photography. The second photo was during the construction of the Empire State Building in New York City. This man doesn't even seem to have a safety harness on. I hope someone at least bought him a beer after work.

Photography - Vintage - Colourized - Abraham Lincoln - 1865

This is a colourized version of a black and white photo taken of American President Abraham Lincoln. The original photo was taken in early 1865. He was murdered on April 15, 1865. Abraham Lincoln was a Republican president who "led the United States through its Civil War - its bloodiest war and perhaps its greatest moral, constitutional, and political crisis. In doing so, he preserved the Union, abolished slavery, strengthened the federal government, and modernized the economy." This is a very cool photo of a very interesting man.

Body Art - Johannes Stotter - Italy, Austria

Johannes Stotter is an artist, musician and fine art bodypainter. He was born in northern Italy and studied in Austria. These are body paintings. You have to stand back a bit and look from a distance to get the image properly. There are often two or three people in the image. Very neat stuff! Johannes Stotter - Artist
